Seafood, handled like it matters
HOPKINSON SIMPSON KIARRALEE is a family-run seafood merchant based in Hawthorn, Victoria. We supply homes and kitchens across Australia with shellfish, crustaceans, cephalopods and fish that have been chosen by hand, packed on ice and dispatched the same day.
What we look for
Every line we sell is selected for the same three things: freshness, texture and flavour. Our scampi comes from the deep, cold southern waters of New Zealand; our clams, oysters and razor clams are chosen for clean shells and firm, sweet meat; our dried sea cucumber is graded by size and cure. Nothing is bought on price alone.
The cold chain
Seafood only tastes of the sea when it has been kept cold the whole way. Orders leave our facility at 524 Glenferrie Road packed in insulated liners with coolant packs, so frozen product stays frozen and chilled product stays chilled until it reaches your door.
How we work
- Orders placed before 12:00 pm on a business day are usually packed and dispatched the same day.
- Every order is packed by hand and checked before it leaves.
- If something arrives less than perfect, contact us within 24 hours and we will make it right.
